                   List Building Follow Up Setup

1. Setting Up a Free Autoresponder

In this lesson, we are going to show you step by step how to set up your autoresponder within Listwire.

One thing to keep in mind when you set up your account is that you will have a master account. You will get it when you sign up, and you can work from that. I recommend setting up a new autoresponder for each item you set up.

That way you know who is on which list. Depending on what free offer you give away, create an offer for that. If you are setting up a free offer or going with a buyer’s list. Go to the left hand side after you log in at Click on Manage Autoresponders.

Then Click Here to Add a New Autoresponder.

I am going to call this for the example Golf Swing Course. For the description, I will enter Golf Swing Course Buyers. Then they know what it is before they try to opt out. You want to try to keep it to no more than 50 characters. I keep the default for don’t allow replication. The replication password would stay blank as well.

After you do that, it will take you to a page that says you have successfully created your list. It will give you a message that you have successfully created a new autoresponder. It is a good idea to read over what it tells you that pertains to that account.

The next thing you want to do is create a follow up message for that list. Go into Manage Autoresponders on the left hand side. Select the one you want, and it will be Golf Swing Course for this example. If you have more than one, there is a radio button. You can manage that autoresponder with the drop down menu if you want to switch to another later on.

Go to follow up messages and it will take a moment for it to open up.

When the form opens, that is where you enter your message for your opt in list. There are subject tags and you can choose to use these if you want. For example, you can include first name or full name.

On the subject line, you can thank them for signing up for buying your product if it is a buyers list. In the text, you can expand on that. You can give them the link, you can thank them for their interest. You get to choose what goes into that message.

You can even recommend other affiliate products and pre-sell them on such an offer. You already know that they have an interested in that niche market. You don’t want to always start selling immediately, but sometimes, it makes sense. You only want to recommend high quality products if you do so.

You can also choose just to thank them and to introduce yourself at this point. Then you can work on building that relationship. You can pre-sell to them in a future follow up message. It is completely up to you.

Make sure you tell them to contact you if they need anything else. For the message format, plain text is the easiest. You want the message interval to be set to 0 so that it will go out immediately after they opt in. Then Click Here to Save Changes to this Message. It will take a moment for it to update.

You should see a confirmation page once it has gone through. Then you can go back in and send out another follow up message.

You can also pick the time interval so that it goes out a day or two after the first one. You can create multiple follow up messages and cue up several emails.

Automatically, on autopilot, they will be drip fed content. You can send them to a blog or free website. You can give them more information on who you are to build up credibility. You can pre-sell your products or affiliate products.

You can send them a survey to see what types of products they are interested in. This example only has 2 follow ups, but I encourage you to create many more than that. We are going to go ahead and put this lesson on hold. We will go on and do another that shows you how to set up your web form.

Then you will have a web form link that you can actually put onto your website. When people buy your products, they can be taken to that page. They can be placed on your email list if they have bought your product or they signed up to get a free product.
