Writing Sales Copy for Product Launch
1. Writing Effective Sales Copy
This is the final part of writing effective sales copy.
To close this out, I wanted to show you step by step what a great sales letter looks like. Keep in mind, since this is part of the No Cost Income Stream, We don’t expect you to have these fancy graphics or fancy headlines. We are looking for a bare bones, very simple sales letter that will do the trick.
In fact, this one may be longer than what you need to get your product out there to start with. You don’t need it to be this long, but we want to show you some core elements of this sales copy. You can then translate it and incorporate it into your own sales letter. Again, don’t worry about the graphics. You don’t need to spend the money on that.
You can use a different color such as blue in the headline to help it stand out.
You want something that is going to be different from the rest of the crowd. Keep that in mind as you move forward. The first part here is in the copy is the headline. You will notice it is very latent filled and benefit filled. This is going to help people.
As you go through the copy, you will notice it has some good sub headlines. It also draws people in with a very good story. Some of the elements are in bold. This helps to attract the eyes as they jump out to the read. Now we will go through here, and we will kind of introduce the product itself. Again, you don’t need to have the graphics here. Talk about what the reader is going to find.
You can read this copy, and really understand it if you want to encompass what it all has. What we will cover is all of the key points here so you know how it all works. Notice the bullet points there – they point out what the reader is going to gain as they go through it.
You will also notice there is a video testimonial that ties into it. This adds to the proof and there are more bullets for each of the chapters. It has 16, but yours may only have 3 or 4. We can scroll through and you will see all of those sub headlines. The first one tells you who should get this course. What it is going to offer to someone as a solution for their problem.
Take the element, take the negative and turn it into the positive. It says “this sounds like an expensive course” but you show them that it isn’t. Notice that they slash the regular price with an X through it. There is a fast action bonus for those that order right away. You will notice that it continues to allow them to take action and to take ownership of their decision.
A key part of copy that you don’t want to miss is the summary. The reader may be overwhelmed or they may be sitting on the fence. You can summarize that they are going to get this, this, and this. Another element of good copy is to tie it up with a P.S. Finish the entire copy, but continue to sell it with the P.S. at the end. This is a way to jump out at them one last time.
Read through this and it will help you to feel confident as you write your own sales copy. It will help you to draw people in. You need to get them excited about what you offer. We are going to be posting your product online, and you need people excited about it so that they will make the purchase.
The next part of good sales copy and tips is to take action.
As you can see here, we have a picture of a notepad file. You can start writing in this format. This is what I use to write my sales copy and what I recommend you write in. When it comes time to copy and paste your copy into a form or JV Zoo account platform that we will cover, it is going to be easy if you just copy and paste it in there.
These free programs will allow for easy formatting and that is why I recommend using it. You can label the various elements if you want as headline, sub headlines, etc. You can go back an format, and we will demonstrate how in a future lesson. First, I wanted to get you started with writing your copy. It doesn’t have to be huge but it needs to flow and it needs to make sense. It needs to be interesting and it needs to get the job done in terms of selling what you promote.
When it comes time to copy and paste into your format, you will find it is so much easier if you do use the Notepad feature. Now is the time to get out there and start writing your sales copy!
